Retractable Screen Doors Warranty

We stand behind our products at Classic Home Improvement Products. Our ClearView Retractable Screens come with the assurance of a Limited Life Time Warranty on all parts and mechanisms on each Retractable Screen Door system to be free of defects in material and workmanship. This warranty expressly excludes the screen mesh material, as normal wear and tear is to be expected.

This warranty is expressly extended to the original purchaser of the ClearView Retractable Screen Door, whose name appears on the warranty certificate, and is in effect at the location also shown on the warranty certificate. This warranty applies only to residential installations and is not transferable. The word “defect(s)” as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections that impair the utility of the Retractable system. Implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the terms of this warranty.

ClearView’s Obligation to Purchaser
ClearView Products, Inc. or its designated dealer will replace any part of its Retractable Screen system found to be defective in workmanship or materials without a part charge to you as specified in the warranty. The homeowner will pay a service call charge of $49.00 after 30 days of installation for any service calls. Shall a re-screen be determined necessary at the service call there will be an additional cost to re-screen ranging from $95 to $140 depending on the screen mesh style that you have installed.

Professional Installation Required
The ClearView Retractable Screen System(s) must be installed by CHI Products technicians and cannot be altered in any way or the warranty is nullified.

Exclusions
This Limited Life Time warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, scratching, corrosive atmosphere contaminants, lightning, windstorm, tornadoes or any other act of Nature, or other causes beyond the control of ClearView Products, Inc., the active Distributor or CHI Products. Also not covered is the color change on powder coated components that takes place with the passage of time. In no event shall ClearView Products, Inc., the active Distributor or CHI Products be liable for any direct or indirect loss, consequential damage, or any other claims except as provided for in this warranty.

From the time of installation until the owner transfers title to his home to another party, ClearView Products, Inc., the active Distributor or CHI Products will replace any part of the Retractable Screen unit that is defective under the terms of this warranty free of charge. Service call charge of $49 will apply. Screen mesh is specifically excluded in this warranty. All fasteners are covered under this warranty for corrosion only and will only be replaced on the basis of evidence of corrosion, not from drill/screw driver bit damage during installation or removal.

THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ADDITIONALLY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Warranty does not cover any rips, tears, separation, fraying, and/or snags of any sort on the screen material. The detaching of the screen material from the roller tube and/or pull bar is excluded as well. The homeowner will pay a service call charge of $49.00 after 30 days of installation for any service calls. Shall a re-screen be determined necessary at the service call there will be an additional cost to re-screen ranging from $95 to $140 depending on the screen mesh style that you have installed.

Customer acknowledges that the Retractable Screen is for ventilation and bug reduction only; it is not meant to keep bad guys out or keep kids or pets inside. In no way is the ClearView Retractable Screens installed at your home or business meant to be used as a security screen. Added features such as the French door pins, chrome latches, and/or sirens may be used freely to help create awareness to any situation that might arise from the opening and closing of the screen door.

In no way is ClearView Products, Inc., the active Distributor or CHI Products to be held liable for any harm done to you, your property, and/or your family because of these added features failing. You are aware that your threshold might have been altered and ClearView Products, Inc., the active Distributor or CHI Products will not be held liable in any way for any tripping, falling, leaks, and/or injuries occurred from this change to your door that you authorized us to make.
