How does a ClearView Retractable Screen Door Differ From a Conventional Screen Door?
Unlike traditional screens, ClearView Retractable Screen products can be attached to the interior or exterior of a door or window frame and can completely retract into a small housing. When in use, it is attractive and durable. When not in use, it is completely retracted into the housing, and not detracting from the natural beauty of your home or business.
Will the ClearView Retractable Screens Fit any Door or Window?
The applications for Retractable Screens are virtually endless and have been used in meeting a wide variety of design needs. They can easily be installed on any swing-in, swing-out doors, for Single Doors, Arched Doors, French Doors, Dutch Doors, Sliding Doors and Windows.
How Does ClearView Retractable Screens Compare in Safety with Competitors?
We take safety very seriously at CHI Products and our screens are the only ones made with the Patented Safe Glide™ Speed Reducer System. Simple stated our ClearView Screens do not slam back when released from the magnet catch. Our innovative technology protects fingers and eliminates the slam commonly know by the competition. This technology also protects the screen from internal damage that can be caused by the screen retracting too quickly into the housing. The annoying noise of a slamming Retractable Screen is now obsolete.
Where are the Screens Made?
Our Invisible Retractable Screens are the only screens made in the USA. Classic is the parent company of www.LorgeFabrication.com which is the “ClearView Retractable Screen Southern California Distributor”. Every ClearView Retractable Screen is built in our state of the art Anaheim Hills, California factory, not in your driveway. Each screen is quality tested in a controlled environment before being installed in the field. We are local, reachable and available to our customers.
How Involved is the Installation Process?
We are home owners and business owners and understand the value of your hard earned money. We give the same great service day after day that we ourselves would want. In addition, we want you to be able to fully understand the product at the measure appointment before the installation. Our employees will bring a hand held sample to your home or business, for you to see and test in person. We will measure all openings onsite and collect the specifications that you have selected to build your custom Retractable Screen. The actual installation of the Retractable Screen Door is a quick, clean process, taking about 60 minutes for a single door unit and 90 minutes for a double door unit.
What About Odd Size Doors or Windows?
We do not believe in one size fits all. Your home or business is unique and deserves the personal custom touch. That is why we meticulously measure the space and custom fit your screen to each and every opening. Our Retractable Screen Doors are custom built on our premises to 1/16 of an inch, exclusively for your application and your application only. The screen can be installed on any opening, measuring up to 120" in height and 140” in width. There has never been an opening that we have not been able to custom fit a Retractable Screen Door on.
Why do you Use Sill Adapters?
In addition to providing a seamless blend of the new screen to your existing threshold and frame, sill adapters improve the overall appearance of the Retractable Screen application by providing the necessary support for long term screen operation and abuse. The sill adapter is a standard component for every Retractable Screen we install.
Why do you Use A Molding?
A molding is an extruded aluminum top support system that blends smoothly with your existing opening jamb to provide the perfect support for proper screen operation once installed. The molding is a standard component for every Retractable Screen we install. In addition, the molding helps create a secure structure for the housing canister and top rail while at the same time improving the overall appearance of your new Retractable Screen.
Do you Offer Custom Colors?
Yes! We offer a huge selection of colors that includes 12 of the most popular designer colors as standard. CHI Products currently offers over 210 Tiger Drylac Custom Powder Coated Colors and 19 Custom Powder Coated Wood Grain Finishes, but with any custom color order, the nylon components (end caps, handles and magnets) need to be selected from one of the 12 standard nylon colors. Custom die-cast handles and internal magnets are available for that additional custom look and feel.
Can the Screens be Locked?
Yes! ClearView Retractable Screens offer optional chrome latches and position holders for an additional charge. But, keep in mind, just like conventional screen doors, Retractable Screens are for ventilation and bug reduction only; they are not meant to keep the bad guys out or to keep ones kids or pets inside.
Can Pets or Animals Get in or Out?
The screen will keep pets/animals in or out to a degree, but the screen is not secured at the top or bottom by design. Therefore it is possible for a pet/animal to push its way underneath. Pet owners may want to consider the optional plexi glass u-channel system which can prevent your pet from getting under the screen. The u-channels are placed on each side of your door opening, and the plexi glass is customized to your door opening width/height by our team. Once your screen is in the operating position, you slide the plexi glass into place to block your pets/animals from going out the bottom of the screen.

How Long Does it Take from the Order to Installation?
Your time is valuable and we will never keep you waiting. We can be out to measure within days and have your Retractable Screen Door(s) installed within 10 -14 working days.
